We were pleased to welcome Habitat for Humanity to our school today. Twenty students and a number of our staff attended an hour long session to learn about home ownership and the services Habitat for Humanity provides.
Students learned about the differences in renting vs. owning a home, how to qualify for a loan and steps to take to purchase a home through Habitat for Humanity.
The presenter was terrific. He made sure everyone could understand what he was saying through an interpreter that accompanied him.
Learning in Style School continues to reach out to community organizations that can help and support our students. Our thanks to all the members of the Habitat organization, especially today’s presenter and interpreter.
