To provide quality education in English, Computer Literacy, and Citizenship to adult immigrants and refugees in our metropolitan areas and beyond.

Since 1994 LIS has provided a rich learning experience for newcomers to the Twin Cities community. Our emphasis at LIS is on building literacy and citizenship skills in a supportive and respectful environment that is open to all who want to learn.

Learning In Style functions from within the charism, tradition and expertise of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and Consociates of the St. Paul Province.

More About Learning In Style

This magnificent artwork hangs in the “Great Room” at LIS and is the result of a collaboration between the Blake School, LIS, and CAPI. The project was led by Seexeng Lee, a Twin Cities artist and Blake art instructor.
