Our long-term partnership with the staff and students of the Blake School continues with several projects happening this fall. As background for their Warm Winter Wear drive, Blake fourth graders heard from LIS student Zeitun Dahir about her experiences as a new Minnesotan – and her first winter – six years ago. (They may have even convinced Zeitun to try sledding!) And Brian Sago’s Advanced Photography class used photos provided by LIS students as material for their work practicing photo restoration. The results were beautiful and meaningful to LIS and Blake students alike. Special thanks to Blake’s Lisa Sackreiter for facilitating these connections between our organizations.
